Condolences

Condolence From: Dr. James Darwin Shine, Professor of Biblical Studies, Retired, BMA Seminary, Jacksonville, Texas
Condolence: Norma was a lovely young lady, who, along with her parents and siblings, was special to me and my family. She was a teenager, probably around 15 or 16, when we moved away from Fayetteville. I knew her late brother, John Tillman Hussey, better than I knew Norma. I grieved with Norma and her family in 1975 when John was murdered in the line of duty. I posted a tribute to him a few years ago Officer Down Memorial Page (https://www.odmp.org/officer/reflections/6887-patrolman-john-tillman-hussey/25). God be with her family.

Condolence: I was blessed to know Norma for the past 12 or 13 years. We met through an Internet group of Haflinger owners but it soon became obvious that several of us were destined to meet in person. So we all came together from all over the country at Norma's home in Texas in November of 2013 and from that time forward we were close friends, united in our love for our golden ponies. And so much more. I was fortunate enough to make 3 more trips to Norma's from my home in Florida after that and she and I spent hours with her horses and other friends. Those are treasured memories but none are more meaningful to me than the hours and hours we spent together
just talking. Talking about horses, of course, but also about music and all things spiritual and so much more. We talked about her illness and plans for beating it. Just before she died we were making plans to get together in September. I thought we would grow old together, talking and laughing and driving horses. I thought there would be many more memories made but that was not to be. I extend my deeply felt condolences to Norma's family and to her many, many friends. Loving Norma was easy. Living without her isn't.

Condolence From: The Ricky Leigh Family
Condolence: Miss Roddy, was as gentle as a Magnolia Bloom. We just loved Miss Roddy so much. She taught my youngest son, Bridge Leigh, how to sing just beautiful. What a blessing Miss Roddy could be. My Aunt Polly Bizzell Nestle passed away, and Miss Roddy as a favor for my Uncle Frank Bizzell, pulled together a touching Children's Choir to perform at my Aunt Polly's Funeral. It was an Event you see once in a lifetime. So Special. We love you Miss Roddy. Our Heart and our Prayers are with the Family and Friends of Miss Norma Roddy. God Love you and we do too.
Most Respectfully,
The Rick Leigh Family

Condolence: Norma was one of the kindest & sweetest person I've ever known. I worked with her in Jumpseat Admin. @ FEDEX and she was always the first to encourage and show love and kindness. I don't think she ever met a stranger because her smile would always light up a room. God was ready for a rose out of His garden and He chose, Norma. I will always remember her and her acts of kindness.

Stay encouraged always Steve and family and friends. My deepest Condolences to you all.

Blessings always,
Ida Dye

Condolence: I am sad to learn of the passing of Norma. We went to church together at Ridgeview Baptist during the 60's and later she played the piano for our high school choir. She was a beautiful, talent person who brought sunshine to others. RIP Norma.
