Obituary for Edward Gustav Batzer Jr.

Edward Gustav  Batzer Jr.
Edward “Ed” G Batzer II born July 30, 1941 in Bay City, MI went to be with the Lord November 2, 2017 after a sudden brief illness.
Ed and his wife of over 55 wonderful years, Margaret Batzer, relocated to Arlington, TX and resided with their daughter, Terri Yeager and family.
Family was Ed’s life, and he loved spending time with them! He enjoyed sitting outside on the swing with his wife listening to music. His favorite past time was playing cards with his family and his buddy JB! He loved going camping at Higgins Lake with family in Michigan; where he enjoyed visiting the American Veterans Post 13 and bonfires! He loved spending time with his great-grandson Noah, playing and teasing him, making silly faces, blowing bubbles and so much more. Some of his other favorite things were spending time in the yard behind the grill BBQ’n, tending to the roses and playing with his beagle Princess and the two red dogs!
Ed was a former member of Amvets Post 13, Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1010 and the Moose Lodge.
There are many good friends and family in Michigan who are also suffering with us, including many residents at Maplewood Manor where we resided for years before relocating.
He deserves his halo; as he was loving and kind to everyone. Always our angel on earth, he now has his wings and is watching over us. He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Margie” Batzer; his children: Terri Yeager, Eddie Batzer III and wife, Barb, Dee Burzynski and husband, Ted; 14 grandchildren: Ali, Brittany and Caitlin Yeager, Katryna, SaraJo and Shawn Batzer, Candee and Robbie Poirier, J.T. Burzynski, Tiffany and Randy Batzer Jr, Nathan Bonini, Randy Bailey and wife, Shanelle, Stephanie James and husband, Jessie; 7 great-grandchildren: Noah Yeager; Lexy and Manny Rodriquez; Easton, Everette and Paisley Bailey; Alyssa James; sisters: Eunice Fylling, Evelyn O’Farrell and Nina Swaton; brothers: Donnie Collins and Duane Coyer; his loving mother-in-law Marion Watson;
Extended family: Cindy Jacobs and husband, Ron, John Watson and wife, Linda, Terry Watson and wife, Vickie, Ron Watson and wife, Diane, Rick Watson and wife, Kellie; and serveral nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Irene Coyer and Edward Batzer Sr; son, Randy Batzer Sr; sister, Elaine Barnella; and brothers, Hank and Dick Coyer.
