Obituary for Arthur Lesko

Arthur William Lesko passed away peacefully on May 3, 2018 in Ft. Worth, Texas from complications due to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Art (aka Artie by his friends) was born July 3, 1936 to Mary Ethel Fordyce and Michael Angelo Lesko in Confluence, Pennsylvania. A joyous homecoming in Heaven was celebrated with his parents, love of his life Mary Lee Bailey Lesko, daughter Susan Sandeman and son Michael Lee Lesko.
Art’s family moved to Dallas, Texas in 1942 and later relocated to Alpine, Texas where he graduated from High School and attended Sul Ross State College where he met Mary Lee. They were married on September 4, 1954. He then joined the Army where he was trained in systems programming and analysis for Electronic Accounting Machines and was Honorably Discharged in 1958.
In civilian life, Art established his career in computer systems programming and analysis. He achieved the Data Processing Management Association Certification in Data Processing in 1964. In 1968 he became an entrepreneur when he joined 4 other computer specialists in founding one of the first mainframe computer services companies in Ft. Worth, Texas, Commercial Computer Services, Inc. After a very successful career he retired in 1994 providing more time for his hobbies of golf and hunting.
Art’s remaining family includes: brother, Raymond Lesko and wife Barbara; sisters, Julie Hightower and husband Fred; Pat Autrey, Noreen Hynes and husband Tom; daughter-in-law Robin Hall Lesko; daughter, Jan Dickhaner and husband, Harry; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jason Davis (son, Cashton), Megan Adams and husband, Michael (children, Michael, Taylor, Neil, Nathan and Matthew), Kaitlyn Sandeman, Michelle Pastor and partner, Zamarina, Mandy Hanish and husband, Drew (daughter, Weslyn Ann), Sam Diebal, Garren Lesko, Kristin Burns and husband, Andy and Layni Lesko.
