Obituary for Allen Hale Madison

Allen Hale Madison, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Boyd, Thursday, September 24, 2020. He was born July 9, 1941 in San Antonio to Ellis and Grace Madison. They both preceded him in death along with his sister, Elane Harrivel of Burnet, and brother-in-law, Frank Miller of Denton. Allen worked for Southern Pacific Railroad in San Antonio as a Diesel Electrician for twenty-six years. After leaving the railroad, he worked for Incore Construction in San Antonio as Yard Superintendent for ten years. After moving to Slidell in 1998 he worked at Krum ISD for five years before retiring. He then spent his time raising cattle, tending his large garden and fruit orchard before moving to Boyd in 2017. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gloria; daughter, Genise Miller and husband Lee; his beloved grandchildren, Brody and Tatum Miller, all of Boyd. He is also survived by his sister, Elois Miller of Denton; brother, Joe Madison and wife Beverly of Cypress; brother-in-law, George Harrivel of Burnet; sister-in-law, Margie Mahurin of San Antonio; and aunt-in-law Betty Moore of Whitehouse. Also, many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Allen. Arrangements are pending.
