Obituary for Wesley Hildebrand Albaugh

Wesley Hildebrand Albaugh, born on February 12, 1991, in Dallas, Texas, stepped into the embrace of his Lord on May 19, 2023. The son of Thomas Fielding Albaugh and Michelle Anette Albaugh (nee Guidry), Wes completed his education at Richland High School before furthering his studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he pursued a degree in communications and advertising.
Wes was a man of few words, but when he chose to speak, he often left a smile on your face and an impactful message in your heart.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Gwen Albaugh, and their two beautiful children, Wyatt Wesley and Riley Mae; his father Thomas F. Albaugh, his brother, Thomas A. Albaugh, his grandmother Norma Crawford, and many friends who he loved like family. Wes was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle.

Wes's faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and interactions with everyone he encountered. A covenant member of Church at the Cross in Grapevine, he sought Jesus throughout his life, finding strength and purpose in his faith.

 Wes was purpose driven in relationships, diligent in his career, enthusiastic for helping others, and he trusted in Gods faithfulness in every circumstance. Wes will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his persevering commitment to his faith, and his love for home improvement and CrossFit. Some of his favorite days were spent relaxing at home hosting family and friends, smoking meat, and sharing his love of football with his son Wyatt. 

Services to honor Wes's life will begin with a celebration of life at 5:00 pm on Monday May 29 at Church at the Cross. With the funeral to follow at 10:30am on Tuesday May 30 at Church at the Cross, Grapevine. Childcare will be provided for the funeral service at Church at the Cross. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Church at the Cross in honor of Wes's memory.

Wes's legacy of abiding faith, love for life, and enduring optimism continues to inspire those who knew him and lives on in their hearts.
