George Eather Busse, 62, passed away, Sunday, December 19, 2021 at his home after his battle with cancer. He was born April 21, 1959, in Sullivan, Missouri to Irvin Busse and Barbara (Immekus) Ballard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Busse, Barbara Ballard, step-father Charles Ballard and brother Irvin “Pete” Busse.
Carrying on his love of the land from his youth in Missouri, George grew and canned his own garden vegetables and fruit, raised his own chickens and harvested honey from his bee hive. He had a hearty laugh and bigger heart for those close to him. He is survived by sisters, Eva Kathleen “Kathy” (Busse) Whitehead and Eleanor Kay (Busse) Riddle; brothers, Robert Leonard Busse (Gail Busse) and James Louis Busse; nieces and nephews and their extended families.
In honor of his last wishes, a memorial to release his ashes in the waters off his beloved Big Island of Hawaii was held with family and close friends, April 21, 2024, on his 65th birthday.
