Guadalupe Castellanos

March 6, 1929 — December 24, 2024

Guadalupe Castellanos-Zelaya, aged 95, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in Springtown, Texas. Guadalupe was born in Honduras on March 6, 1929 to Father, Salvador Castellanos, and Mother Enma Zelaya.
Preceding her in death are both her mother and her father, Salvador and Enma; and her son-in-law, Franklin Ictech.

Guadalupe was a beautiful soul; she was inspired by so many things and took joy in all that life had to offer. Truly, she was a connoisseur of the arts, whether that be classical music, visual arts or literature. As a teacher and sculptor of young minds, she had a love for learning, spending most of her time nurturing that love by reading everything that she could get her hands on. She read anything from the newspaper to novels. Enjoying a good story, Guadalupe was also fond of going to the cinema and catching a movie from time to time. Lastly, it could be said that Guadalupe loved the culinary arts. She loved good food, a great meal shared with those whose company she enjoyed; she was especially fond of her fried plantains!

She loved her family and friends, fiercely, and will be remembered always for her loyalty and dedication to them.

Guadalupe Castellanos-Zelaya will be dearly missed by all who love her; affectionately sharing the story of her life that she cultivated so delicately.

Surviving her include her daughters Alceste and Husband, Rafael; Astrid de Chica and Husband, Heriberto; Astarte de Cerna and Husband, Carlos; Ariadna vda De Ictech; Son, Aster Alegria and Wife, Juanita; Sisters Leslie Goldsmith, Mariana Jones, Margarita Castellanos, Elvira Sarmiento; Brothers Raimundo Castellanos, and Enrique Castellanos; 20 Grandchildren and 31 Great-Grandchildren.
