Morris Compton

Edward Compton, 72, of Azle, passed away, Sunday, January 17, 2021. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in the summer, due to CVOID. He was born August 2, 1948 in McGregor to Morris and Ellaree (Meares) Compton. They both preceded him in death. He married Jan Callis Compton on December 31, 1964 in Clayton, New Mexico. He was a very devoted, adoring and loving family man. He had such an enjoyment for life and family and had a personality that was extraordinary and heroic to many. Edward was a bright light to so many and was able to touch many lives that many cherished. He worked in the oil industry close to 30 years and then he transitioned to Gulfstream Aerospace for 20 years where he retired in 2017. Edward is survived by his wife, Jan; daughters, Kristy Peck and husband, Terry of Sudan, Nikki Bitler and husband, Cimarron of Azle; son, Shawn Compton and wife, Regina of Sunset; grandchildren, Quinci Willoughby and husband, Andrew, Stormi Peck and husband, Jon Peters, Blaine Compton, Camille Compton; great great grandchildren, Rylan Willoughby, Pailyn Willoughby, Azzy Willoughby, Ezlyn Peters; and his fur babies, Dylan and Baby.
