Gary Forbes

Gary Douglas Forbes, 78, a loving husband, father, uncle and brother-in-law, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 24, 2023 at home. He was born June 3, 1944 in Houston to Charles Douglas and Pauline (Gould) Forbes. They both preceded him in death along with a brother, Billy Forbes, and sister-in-law, Edith Snow and husband, Jerry. Gary was a 23 year member of the Eagle Mountain International Church, where he was involved in the prison ministry (Mike Barber Ministry) for 20 years. He loved to share the gospel of Jesus with everyone. Gary worked for Springtown ISD as an educator and retired after 25 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV and helping his son with his auction business. Left to cherish loving memories are his wife, Connie (Porter) Forbes; son, Matt Forbes; brother, Robert Forbes and wife, Cheryl; sister, Kathryn Forbes; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Smith and husband, Doug and Darla Ezell and husband, Andy; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
