Scott Lauer

March 24, 1964 — July 9, 2023

Dr. Scott D. Lauer, 59, of Colleyville, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, July 9, 2023 after a brief illness.
He was born in Dayton, OH in 1964 and moved to Seabrook, TX with his family in 1974. He attended Texas Tech University, competing on the university swim team. He studied medicine at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, MO. Scott returned to Texas to build a thriving medical practice and raise his family.
Scott fiercely loved his Lord, his family and wide circle of friends. He was passionate about scuba diving, which he did in many places across the globe including Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curacao, Dominican Republic, and Egypt. He was also an accomplished underwater photographer for which he earned critical praise. Scott served as a Special Olympics swim coach, a ringside physician for boxing and MMA, and enjoyed competitive skeet shooting with the Grand Prairie Gun Club. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Scott is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kimberly Lauer; his children, Ashley Daniels, Alexander and Abigayle Lauer; his parents Howard V. and Bonnie Lauer of Seabrook, TX; sister Terri Martin and family of Clear Lake, TX; grandmother Doris M. Lauer of Dayton, OH; parents in law Dr. Gerald and Mary Cowen of Frisco, TX; sister-in-law Lara Foster and family of Frisco, TX; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
