Janet Mcquilken

Janet B. McQuilkin, 84, passed away, Monday, March 13, 2023, after a long and full life. She was born in Falconer, New York on April 18, 1938, to Earl and Beatrice Hoene. They both preceded her in death, along with her husbands, David D. Rietter, Mac McAllister, Kenneth McQuilkin; son, David F. Rietter and son-in-law, Robert (Bob) Dunlop. Janet was married to David D. Rietter, and together they had four children, David F., Holly, Laurie and Cheryl. She worked many jobs during her lifetime including being a special education teacher, substitute teacher, card shop manager, nurse’s aide, sales associate at JC Penney and she owned and managed her own used car dealership. Janet enjoyed traveling, making blankets, coloring and spending time with her family and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Ed Hoene and wife, Sheila; daughters, Holly Garrington, Laurie Dunlop and Cheryl Nichols and husband Donnie; daughter-in-law, Denise Rietter; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
