William Ripple

William Richard Ripple, 81, passed away, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in Decatur. He was born January 6, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio to William Melvin and Elizabeth (Johns) Ripple. They both preceded him in death along with his sister, Elaine Chervany and daughter, Linda Avolio. William was a truck driver in the oil and gas industry for many years and maintained a buffalo heard for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as spending time with family. William was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, great- grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria Jean (Baird) Ripple; daughter, Cindy Becker and her husband Mark; son, William Ripple II and wife, Carol; brothers, Jim Ripple and wife, Carol and, David Ripple; grandchildren, Cody, Heather, Devin, Crystal and Richard; great grandchildren, Damian, Madison, Skyler, Ashton, Riley, Ruthie, Bentley, Amber and Emily. William will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
