Lyndall Shields

Lyndall “Red” Shields was born July 6th, 1952 in Planview, Texas to Rollan and Juanita Neighbors Shields. He is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Billie Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Anderson Shields, his daughter, Brandi Leach and husband Frank, his son Tony (TJ) and his wife Joanie. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Alex Leach and two grandsons, Andrew and Collin Leach, his sister Rollene and her husband Stephen, sister Rita and her husband John, brother Daryle Shields and his wife RoseMary, and his mother-in-law Bobbie Anderson of Azle, Texas and many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Red graduated from Springtown, Texas and attended Jaybird Lane Assembly of God, later called Outreach of Love. Red was a hard worker and a machine shop foreman until his retirement six years ago. He was a gifted writer, and his extended family counted on him to keep them informed of all important goings on. He was an excellent teller of tales who readily admitted some of which to be a bit embellished at times. Infact, his motto was “Never let the facts get in the way of a great story.” He loved reading, guns, history, and spending time with family. He was lost to us way too soon and will be missed by all who knew him. We know he is having a great reunion with family and friends in Heaven.
