Scarlett Smith

Scarlett Olivia Rea Smith of Boyd, Texas, aged 3 months old, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. She was born on August 29, 2024 to her mother, Moneke Smith and father, Shawn Smith. Though her time earthside may have been brief, she was adored by all who knew her; leaving a memory that will radiate as greatly as her warm, contagious smile. Scarlett was such a happy baby. She spent much of her time giggling, grinning and blowing bubbles at her family. She also enjoyed watching her older sisters whom she was especially fond of and undoubtably looked up to. Like any little girl, Scarlett loved to be told she was pretty. She was beautiful, inside and out, her parents pride and joy, and she knew it. Her soul left an immeasurable footprint on the hearts of those that she loved deeply.

Preceding Scarlett in death are her aunt and uncle, Kyle and Kistan Bancroft, her grandparents Harriet and Gerald peska, and grandmother Patty Jean Rea.

Surviving Scarlett are her mother, Moneke Smith and father, Shawn Smith; sister’s Heather Mockerman and Aurora Smith; Uncles Kayo Dowell, Nathan Moore, Michael Trujillio, Michael Triedence Mayhew, Donald Leroy Brown 3rd; Aunts Kateland Bancroft, Brooke and husband James smith, Kimberly Neill and husband, Daniel, Ashley Smith, Dawnell Yon,Tabatha Nicole Wood, Lilly Brown, Lita Brown, and Rhonda Brown; Grandmothers Jessica Toelen and Tiffany Brown; Grandfathers Donald Brown, Gene Smith and Daniel Dowell; Great-grandmothers Tracy Hoyt and Julia Brown.
