Anyone who knew butch mayfield knew he was a loving caring honest family man. he would give you the shirt off his back and the last dollar to his name because that was just the kind of man he was. He always fought for what was right and for what he loved. butch was someone you could look up to, someone who was respected and someone you could always count on. he wasnt judgemental he was helpful always positive and genuine. Butch and karen has touched many lives, and mine was one of them they welcomed there home up to me and my mom and any of our family and they loved us like there own bloodline. The mayfield home was somewhere you could always find a little southern hospitality and some wise advice when you needed to hear it. Butch and karen had the kind of love you just dont hardly see anymore, the kind of love im glad i got too see really dose exsist. butch was a great man and he is one of the strongest men i have known. it hurts that hes no longer with us hear on earth, Butch was the kind of man that he wouldnt want us to be sad for his loss he just wouldnt want that. I know butch is no longer in pain and i know that hes with our father in heaven so that brings comfort and peace. please keep his wife karen and sons cody steven and lee in yalls prayers. RIP Mr.Mayfield we all miss and love you. "Roll on"

Condolence: As Butch Mayfield's son i cant tell you how many times iv seen him give his last dollar to a person in need or open his home to any kid that needed a place to stay ..most of all ill miss sitting on the end of his bed and him telling me he loves me and he believes in me ..the man loved his kids so much it was a love iv never seen or felt and ANYONE that has lived or spent any time around Butch Mayfield will tell you his love was a love that only God could surpass and at the same time he was the toughest meanest quickest to fight any where any time man iv ever seen ..my dad whooped a couch i had in jr high and whoop my bus driver and whooped men that disrespected my mom ,,i got bit by a dog when i was about 13 years old he went to talk to the owner about the dog and the dog bit my dad ,my dad shot the dog 6 times on the owners living room couch ..

Condolence: I was blessed to have known Butch and he was an amazing man which walked with the utmost integrity. He had a love for his wife and 3 sons like no other. As sad as losing such an awesome person is, it does my heart well knowing he suffers no more from the pain of the cancer he has battled in true "Mayfield Strong" fashion. He was a fighter and it's plain to see where his sons got their fighting strength from that is for sure :) RIP Butch Mayfield...the world lost one helluva man & friend 01/22/2018 and I know I will miss our talks and laughs dearly. Condolence: So sorry to hear of Butch's passing. We were classmates and close friends at Lake Worth. I lived directly across the lake from him and Butch (and sometimes David Rench) would row across the lake after school and would invade my Dad's bar. Then we'd pour water in the bottles. My dad finally figured it out. We would see each other off and on until I went overseas to work about 35 years ago. Rest in peace, my friend. My condolences to all of the family.
